I wrote my first play while in acting class with mentor Charles Nelson Reilly, in December. I now have over 50 publications with Samuel French, Smith and Kraus, Applause Books and Dramatic Publishing. Lisa moved to Los Angeles, where she wrote her first play, The Name Game.

She has held jobs as a newspaper writer, magazine editor and writer, freelance writer and book reviewer and has received 21 fellowships to the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts which saved her sanity during the early years of trying to raise two young children and write.

this just seems like a very typical state of affairs in my life. the tug of things that need to get done vs. the inconvenient messiness of life and obligations vs. the pull of the things i really really really want to be doing. I am thinking about how i was up in portland a couple weekends ago for lisa congdons.
